Reviews Hub - Comedy turns couldn’t come much finer than performances from Liam Mellor as Idle Jack and Eric Potts as Sarah the Cook, who both manage to engage the audience from the off. The kids love Mellor who whizzes around the stage and plays up to the campness of the character perfectly.
The Guide - The cast I can’t help but feel has been assembled for its talent rather than just its names; Liam Mellor deserves every credit for what he brings to the role of Idle Jack. Every time he is on the stage it’s met with laughter and shouts of his token phrase “Cracking” – He is a real panto natural.
Noth West End - But the stand out performance of the night for me was Liam Mellor as Idle Jack.Liam has many pantomime credits to his name and demonstrated a mastery for the genre - achieving the right mix of familiar gags, double entendre, slapstick humor, audience interaction, sing-along and even a little political reference (it made me laugh out loud); overall a personification of everything that is great about pantomime. His scenes with Eric Potts as the Dame were the highlights of the show
